The Structure of Call Numbers
Each book has a call number, which usually consists of letters, numbers, and other symbols. In the library, a call number has two parts: a classification number (CLC) and an author number. OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue)
We provide OPAC terminals for patrons. Patrons use computers on each floor to find the OPAC on the GDUFS library homepage. According to your requirements, please enter the title, author, subjects, classification numbers, publishing houses or others. You will get the target book’s call number, its locations, and whether the target book is out on loan or not. Then you can follow the information and the guide maps to find the book. On the terminals, patrons can check their loan status, reserve and renew books, and change passwords, etc.
